Integration Settings

The Integration Settings page is where you connect, manage, and monitor your social media platform accounts in Soku. Access it from Settings in the main sidebar or navigate directly to /settings.

Overview

The Integrations page displays a grid of platform cards — one for each supported social network. Each card shows the platform name, its logo, and the current connection status for your accounts. Supported platforms:
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • Facebook
  • X (Twitter)
  • Threads
  • LinkedIn

Connecting a Platform

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the platform you want to connect and click Connect.
  3. You are redirected to the platform’s official OAuth authorization page.
  4. Grant Soku the required permissions.
  5. You are redirected back to Soku, and the connected account appears under that platform’s card.
You can connect multiple accounts per platform, up to the limit of your subscription plan. See Subscription Plans for account limits by plan.

Managing Connected Accounts

Each connected account is displayed under its platform card with the following information and controls:

Token Status

Every connected account shows a token health indicator:
StatusMeaning
OK (green)The connection is healthy. Soku can publish to this account.
Warning (yellow)The token may expire soon or a non-critical issue was detected. Publishing still works, but re-authorization may be needed soon.
Danger (red)The connection is broken. The token has expired or been revoked. You need to re-authorize this account.

Setting a Default Account

If you have multiple accounts connected for the same platform, you can set one as the default. The default account is pre-selected when you create a new post.
  1. Click on the account you want to set as default.
  2. Click Set as Default.

Enabling or Disabling Reposting

Each connected account has a toggle for automated reposting. When enabled, the account is included in your reposting schedule. When disabled, the account is excluded from automated reposts but can still be used for manual publishing.
  1. Find the account under its platform card.
  2. Toggle the Reposting switch on or off.

Disconnecting an Account

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the account you want to disconnect.
  3. Click Disconnect.
  4. Confirm the disconnection.
When you disconnect an account:
  • The authorization token is deleted from Soku.
  • The account is removed from your integrations list.
  • Any scheduled posts targeting that account will fail when they attempt to publish.
  • The account is removed from your reposting schedule.
Disconnecting an account does not delete any posts that have already been published to that platform. It only removes Soku’s ability to publish to that account going forward.

Re-authorizing an Account

If an account’s token status shows Danger (red), you need to re-authorize:
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Click the account with the red status indicator.
  3. Click Re-authorize (or Connect again).
  4. Complete the OAuth flow on the platform’s authorization page.
  5. The account’s status returns to OK (green) once re-authorization is complete.
Common reasons for needing re-authorization:
  • You changed your password on the social media platform.
  • You revoked Soku’s access from the platform’s settings.
  • The platform’s token expired and could not be automatically refreshed.

Token Refresh

Soku automatically refreshes authorization tokens in the background for platforms that support it. You generally do not need to take any action to keep connections alive.
PlatformToken Refresh
InstagramManaged by Meta (long-lived token)
TikTokAutomatic
YouTubeAutomatic
FacebookLong-lived user token
X (Twitter)Automatic
ThreadsManaged by Meta

If automatic refresh fails, the account’s status changes to Warning or Danger, and you will need to re-authorize manually.

Plan Limits

The number of accounts you can connect per platform depends on your plan:
