Soku supports three content types: Text, Image, and Video. The content type you select determines which platforms are available and what media you need to upload.

If you select a content type that a connected platform does not support, that platform will not appear in the platform picker. For example, selecting Text will hide Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat from the platform list.
TikTok-Specific Options
When TikTok is selected as a target platform, a dedicated TikTok options panel appears on the Create Post page. These settings are specific to TikTok:
| Option | Description |
|---|
| Allow Comments | Enable or disable comments on your TikTok post. |
| Allow Duet | Allow other TikTok users to create Duets with your video. |
| Allow Stitch | Allow other TikTok users to Stitch your video into their own. |
| Privacy | Set the audience for your post. Default is “Public to Everyone.” |
| Commercial — Your Brand | Indicate that this content promotes your own brand. |
| Commercial — Branded | Indicate that this content is branded or sponsored content. |
TikTok requires you to disclose commercial content. If your post promotes a product or brand, make sure to enable the appropriate commercial content toggle.
YouTube-Specific Notes
YouTube only supports Video content. When YouTube is selected:
- The caption field is used as the video title.
- YouTube titles have a 100-character limit.
Snapchat-Specific Notes
Snapchat supports Image and Video content, published via Stories, Spotlights, or Saved Stories.
| Field | Character Limit |
|---|
| Spotlight description | 160 |
| Saved Story title | 45 |
Choosing the Right Content Type
- Use Text when you want to share a written update without any media.
- Use Image when you have photos or graphics to share. Choose this for Instagram carousel posts.
- Use Video when you have video content. This is the only content type supported by all platforms (including Snapchat and YouTube).
