Selecting Platforms
After choosing your content type, you select which connected social media accounts should receive your post. Soku shows only the platforms that support your chosen content type, so you never have to guess which networks are compatible.
- On the Create Post page, choose your content type (Text, Image, or Video).
- The platform selector displays all connected accounts that support that content type.
- Click on one or more platforms to select them. Click again to deselect.
- Your caption editor and preview panel will update to reflect the selected platforms.
Only platforms you have already connected in your account settings will appear in the selector. If a platform is missing, check your connected accounts.
Platform Availability by Content Type
| Platform | Text | Image | Video |
|---|
| X (Twitter) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Threads | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Facebook | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| LinkedIn | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Instagram | No | Yes | Yes |
| TikTok | No | Yes | Yes |
| YouTube | No | No | Yes |
Character Limits
Each platform enforces its own character limit on captions. Soku displays a character counter for every selected platform so you can stay within bounds as you type.
| Platform | Caption Character Limit |
|---|
| X (Twitter) | 280 |
| Threads | 500 |
| Facebook | 63,206 |
| LinkedIn | 3,000 |
| Instagram | 2,200 |
| TikTok | 2,200 |
| YouTube (title) | 100 |
| YouTube (description) | 5,000 |
If your caption exceeds the character limit for a selected platform, Soku will prevent you from publishing until the caption is shortened. You can use platform-specific captions to write a shorter version for platforms with tighter limits.
When TikTok is selected, an additional TikTok Options panel appears on the Create Post page. This panel lets you configure TikTok-specific publishing settings:
- Privacy level — Choose who can view the video (e.g., public, friends, or private).
- Allow comments — Toggle whether viewers can leave comments.
- Allow duet — Toggle whether other users can create Duets with your video.
- Allow stitch — Toggle whether other users can Stitch your video.
These settings are sent to TikTok at publish time and apply only to the TikTok copy of your post.
Preview Panel
The preview panel on the right side of the Create Post page shows a live mobile preview of your post for each selected platform. The preview includes:
- Your avatar from the connected account.
- Your username from the connected account.
- Your caption text.
- Your uploaded media (image or video thumbnail).
The preview updates in real time as you type and change selections.
