Selecting Platforms

After choosing your content type, you select which connected social media accounts should receive your post. Soku shows only the platforms that support your chosen content type, so you never have to guess which networks are compatible.

How Platform Selection Works

  1. On the Create Post page, choose your content type (Text, Image, or Video).
  2. Open the platform picker dropdown. It displays all connected accounts that support your selected content type.
  3. Select one or more platforms from the dropdown (multi-select is supported).
  4. Your caption input, character counter, and mobile preview panel update to reflect the selected platforms.
Only platforms you have already connected in your account settings will appear in the platform picker. If a platform is missing, check your connected accounts.

Character Limits

Each platform enforces its own character limit on captions. Soku displays a live character counter for every selected platform so you can stay within bounds as you type.

If your caption exceeds the character limit for a selected platform, Soku will prevent you from publishing until the caption is shortened. You can use platform-specific captions to write a shorter version for platforms with tighter limits.

Image Limits per Platform

When using the Image content type, each platform has its own maximum number of images per post.

TikTok Options

When TikTok is selected, an additional TikTok Options panel appears on the Create Post page. This panel lets you configure TikTok-specific publishing settings:
OptionDescription
PrivacySet the visibility of your TikTok post. Default is “Public to Everyone.”
Allow CommentsToggle whether viewers can leave comments on your video.
Allow DuetToggle whether other users can create Duets with your video.
Allow StitchToggle whether other users can Stitch your video.
Commercial — Your BrandMark the post as promoting your own brand.
Commercial — Branded ContentMark the post as branded or sponsored content.
These settings are sent to TikTok at publish time and apply only to the TikTok copy of your post.

Snapchat

When Snapchat is selected, your content is published via Snapchat’s Stories, Spotlights, or Saved Stories. Snapchat supports image and video content types only (not text). Snapchat has its own character limits for Spotlight descriptions (160 characters) and Saved Story titles (45 characters).

Mobile Preview Panel

The mobile preview panel on the right side of the Create Post page shows a live preview of your post for each selected platform. The preview includes:
  • Your caption text
  • Your uploaded media (images or video thumbnail)
The preview updates in real time as you type and change selections.
