Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through the five steps to go from a new account to your first published post. The whole process takes about five minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to mysoku.io and sign up using either Google OAuth or an email magic link. Both options are passwordless and take under a minute.
For detailed sign-up instructions, see Creating Your Account.

Step 2: Choose a Plan and Start Your Free Trial

After signing up, select the plan that fits your needs:
PlanMonthly PriceYearly PriceBest for
Starter$47/month$497/yearIndividual creators and solopreneurs
Pro$79/month$798/yearPower users and small teams
Agency$179/month$1,798/yearAgencies managing multiple clients
Every plan includes a 7-day free trial with access to all features. No credit card is required to start. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
For a full comparison of what each plan includes, see Subscription Plans.

Step 3: Connect Your Social Media Platforms

Before you can publish, you need to connect at least one social media account.
  1. Go to Settings from the left sidebar.
  2. You will see a card for each supported platform (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Snapchat).
  3. Click Connect next to the platform you want to add.
  4. Authorize Soku to publish on your behalf through the platform’s OAuth login flow.
  5. Repeat for each platform you want to publish to.
You can connect multiple accounts per platform depending on your plan:
  • Starter: 1 account per platform
  • Pro: 2 accounts per platform
  • Agency: 5 accounts per platform
Each platform has its own authorization process. For platform-specific setup instructions, see the Connecting Platforms section.

Step 4: Create Your First Post

  1. Click Create in the left sidebar (pen icon).
  2. Select your platforms. Use the platform picker dropdown to choose which platforms to publish to. You can select one or several.
  3. Upload your media. Drag and drop or select an image or video. Your file will be uploaded in the background.
  4. Write your caption. Type your caption in the text field. A character counter shows your remaining characters for each selected platform.
  5. Customize per platform (optional). Toggle Separate Captions to write a different caption for each platform individually.
  6. Use AI (optional). Click the AI transcription button to transcribe your video and optionally generate captions from it.
  7. Preview. The mobile preview panel on the right shows how your post will appear.
For a deeper walkthrough of the post creation interface, see Creating a Post.

Step 5: Publish

You have two options:
  • Publish now — Click Publish to send your post to all selected platforms immediately.
  • Schedule for later — Click Schedule, pick a date and time, and Soku will publish automatically at the time you set.
Once published, you can track the status of your post in the Posts section. The Posts section has three views:
  • Published — All posts that have been sent, with a graph showing posting trends.
  • Scheduled — Upcoming posts with options to publish immediately or cancel.
  • Calendar — A visual monthly calendar view of all your posts.
For scheduling options and tips, see Scheduling Posts.
